Plug Power said on Thursday it has appointed Colin Angle, the co-founder and former CEO of iRobot, to its Board of Directors. The company highlighted Angle’s experience in “technology innovation, robotics, and strategic leadership”.
In late July, Plug hired the former Amazon executive Dean Fullerton as its new Chief Operating Officer. Fullerton will now lead efforts to enhance cost efficiency, reduce inventory, and improve profitability.
Plug shares have lost 51.11% of its value since the beginning of the year
Andy Marsh, Plug’s chief executive, stated that the “visionary leadership and deep understanding of technology and innovation” of Angle “will be invaluable as we continue to advance our mission of building the hydrogen economy and expanding our global footprint”.
Last May, iRobot named the former Gillette, Timex, and Energizer executive Gary Cohen as its new chief executive officer.
The company, which partners with the French automaker Renault, announced recently that has reached 13 hydrogen refueling stations (HRS) over the last two years across 5 European countries.
