Nio announced on Friday that is now offering 0.00% financing on the ET5 model in Germany. The offer is valid on inventory vehicles and is applicable “only for selected configurations,” the company stated in its website.
The electric vehicle maker registered 32 units in the country last month and recorded 234 units in the first six months of the year.
The standard range variant of Nio’s cheaper sedan, the ET5, features a 75kWh battery and is now available in the German market from €528 per month.
This includes the Battery as a Service (BaaS) subscription, which allows Nio drivers to swap their car’s battery for a new one in 3 to 4 minutes at any battery swap station throughout Europe.

“Benefit from attractive monthly financing rates, including Battery-as-a-Service, for selected configurations (Stratosphere Blue exterior with Sand interior). We are happy to provide you with non-binding advice on all financing options,” the company says in the official website.
According to the website from the other four European markets — Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and Denmark— Germany is the only one offering the 0.00% financing.
Despite not mentioning the concrete conditions, the Norwegian website also mentions that there are special conditions for acquiring a Nio ET5 from the inventory until the end of September.
“We have NIO ET5 in stock with great offers and fast delivery. Contact us for a great deal. The campaign ends on 09/30/24,” the website for the Norwegian market shows.
The company announced last week the European release of the 2.3.5 version of Banyan, its in-house developed operating system. The new version brings 50 improvements, according to a social media post.
On LinkedIn, the company highlighted the one pedal driving which becomes now available across all the five models available in the European markets with the exception of the recently launched Nio EL8, known as Nio ES8 in China.
Although its official plans to enter new markets are still unknown, Nio has been teasing the expansion to new countries — and even continents — over the last few months.
In the long term, the group is aiming to sell its EVs in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece and in the Balkan countries besides UAE region later this year and Latin America.
