Nio reported on Wednesday the delivery of 15,620 vehicles in April, an increase of 134.6 percent year over year.
The electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer unveiled the new facelift of its sedan ET7 during the Beijing Auto Show featuring upgraded seats and two second-row screens. The deliveries of the revamped model started yesterday, on April 30.

Nio’s April deliveries consisted of 8,817 SUVs and 6,803 sedans. Sequentally, Nio deliveries increased 31.64 percent from the 11,866 units delivered in March.

On the first of April, the company said it plans to commence deliveries of the 2024 ES7 (EL7), ET7, and ET5 this quarter. In the first quarter of the year, Nio delivered 30,053 units, meeting the company’s guidance despite a recent adjustment from 31,000-33,000 units to 30,000 units.

In March, Nio began delivering its 2024 models including the ES8, ES6, EC7, EC6, and ET5 Touring. The facelifts feature upgraded configurations and performance which improves computing power.
The ET7 Executive Signature edition has an expected delivery time of 4 to 6 weeks while the executive edition registers 2 to 4 weeks, according to Nio’s website.

Nio is currently preparing for the brand — and product — launch of its first subbrand Onvo. The event is scheduled for mid-May as confirmed by the co-founder Lihong Qin at the Beijing Auto Show.
According to Nio founder and chief executive William Li, the first product will be launched in the third quarter and mass deliveries beginning in the last quarter of the year. The first model of Onvo, pronounced “Ledao” in Chinese, is an SUV that competes directly with the Tesla Model Y and has been seen several times in road tests in China over the last weeks.
Last week, Lotus and Nio announced their cooperation in charging and battery swapping technologies. As of today, Nio has over 2,405 battery swap stations and 21,000 chargers across China.
