EV maker XPeng has entered Ireland and Finland, further expanding its European footprint as it seeks to grow from 30 to 60 markets globally in 2025.
XPeng recently delivered its 10,000th vehicle in Europe four years after first exporting to the region. It is the first Chinese EV startup to reach this figure.
Since shifting to a third-party dealership model, XPeng has accelerated its European expansion, entering France, Spain, Portugal, Egypt, Hong Kong, and Germany last year. The company established its European headquarters in Amsterdam in February 2021 and has since set up offices in Denmark, Germany, Norway, and Sweden.
In Ireland, XPeng has partnered with Dublin-based Motor Services Limited (MSL) as its official retailer, with the G6 Coupe SUV now available at MSL’s Deansgrange dealership.
The company has launched the G6 in the market, with the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) standard range model, offering 435 km of WLTP range, starting at €42,000. The long-range variant, with 580 km of range, is priced from €49,440.
In Finland, XPeng will sell the G6 and G9 models through Inchcape Motors Finland. The G6 starts at €48,290, with a Launch Edition available for €45,790, while the G9 is priced from €62,900, with a Launch Edition at €75,900.
Deliveries are set to begin in late February, followed by the opening of a showroom in Helsinki, with another in Espoo to follow.
Globally, XPeng delivered 190,068 vehicles in 2024, a 34% increase from the previous year, with an average weekly sales rate exceeding 10,000 units. The company is expected to introduce its first hybrid model this year.
