Mercedes-Benz announced on Thursday that its electric vehicles (EVs) will gain access to Tesla’s Supercharger network in North America beginning in February.

The rollout will start with the use of NACS-to-CCS adapters, with native integration of Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) to follow later in the year. Tesla currently operates approximately 20,000 Supercharger stalls across the United States and Canada.

Starting this year, new electric Mercedes-Benz vehicles will feature NACS charging ports, the same design used by Tesla. Current Mercedes-Benz EV owners will have the option to purchase an adapter through Mercedes dealerships for $185.

Mercedes becomes the seventh automaker to secure access to Tesla’s Supercharger network, joining Ford, General Motors, Rivian, Volvo, Polestar, and Nissan.

Tesla Supercharger locations will also be integrated into Mercedes-Benz’s charger map within its app, allowing seamless navigation to charging points. The company plans to incorporate Tesla’s Plug & Charge system, enabling automatic charging without additional steps once plugged in.

Mercedes’ EV lineup includes the EQS sedan, the EQE and EQB SUVs, as well as the upcoming electric G-Class SUV.
