After having had production ramp-up issues with previous models, the Guangzhou-based carmaker XPeng announced Thursday it produced ten thousand units of its new flagship sedan P7+ in the first 20 days of production.
The company began delivering the P7+ on November 13, four days after the model’s official launch. XPeng received 10,000 non-refundable orders just twelve minutes after the vehicle’s launch, setting a record for the fastest pre-orders in the brand’s history.
After three hours, it reached 31,528 firm orders, beating the Mona M03 launch held in late August. The entry-level variant, the Long Range Max, is priced at 186,800 yuan ($25,770), while the Ultra Long Range Max and the Limited Edition Max are priced at 198,800 yuan ($27,400) and 218,800 yuan ($30,180), respectively.
On Weibo, XPeng wrote, “XPeng P7+ reaches 10,000 units off the production line in just 20 days after its launch – setting a new record for the fastest among emerging EV makers! The XPeng factory is working at full capacity to expand production, firing on all cylinders, taking a new step in its journey of a thousand miles,”

XPeng started pre-sales for the P7+ model in mid-October at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, with the pre-sale price set at 209,800 yuan ($29,375). XPeng reported receiving 30,000 pre-sale orders for the model within one hour and 48 minutes of the Paris debut.
XPeng’s deliveries in October reached 23,917 units, a new record for the Guangzhou-headquartered brand and a 20% growth from a year ago.
The company plans to expand deliveries to overseas markets next year, with a goal of operating in 60 markets by the end of 2025.
