Rivian’s Chief Communications Officer (CCO), Sarah O’Brien, is leaving the electric vehicle manufacturer after just over a year in the role. The executive joined the company in June 2023 and was reporting directly to the Founder and CEO RJ Scaringe.
The photo of the CCO has been removed from the company’s website, making her the only C-level executive absent from the gallery. This change was first noticed by a Rivian owner on X.
Rivian and O’Brien did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Prior to Rivian, she served as Vice President of Executive & Product Communications at Meta (formerly Facebook), where she led communications efforts for over four years, from January 2019 to June 2023.
