Toyota Motor announced on Wednesday a collaboration with EVgo to install DC fast chargers in Baldwin Park, and Sacramento, both areas located in California.
The high-power 350kW chargers, to be installed, owned, and operated by EVgo, one of the nation’s largest public fast charging networks, are targeted to be operational in 2025.

The cities receiving DC fast chargers were chosen using the CalEnviroScreen tool and based on criteria such as resident income levels, demographics, air quality levels, and areas with meaningful EV penetration, Toyota explained.

In Sacramento, the new 350kW DC fast chargers will be installed near the Arden Fair Mall, a high-traffic area close to the freeway with multiple dining and shopping options.
The Baldwin Park charging station will be located less than a mile off Interstate 10, with access to amenities including a grocery store and nearby restaurants, the automaker explained.
On Tuesday, Toyota announced with Subaru and Mazda that will develop new engines designed for electrification and carbon neutrality.
The automotive giants announced that the collaboration aims to integrate motors, batteries, and other electric drive units more efficiently while creating more compact engines that fit better in modern vehicle designs.
