Shaquille O’Neal announced Sunday that he’s added a Lucid Air to his car collection but with a twist. In a social media post, O’Neal shared his new fully electric sedan, which features larger side doors and a redesigned rear window, the basketball star replaced Lucid’s logo with his nickname ‘Diesel’.

“Shaq had his new Lucid Air turned into a 2-door and customized to match his Rolls-Royce Cullinan, all done by West Coast Customs. When you’re 7’1”, you’ve got to do things your own way…,” the former NBA star wrote on Instagram on Sunday.

Shaq’s car collection includes also a 1998 Ferrari 355 F1 Spider, a 2020 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a 2001 Chevrolet Express G1500 and a Tesla Cybertruck. The NBA star has often customized several of his vehicles.

In September, Shaq got his second Cybertruck, this one customized with a black wrap, 26-inch rims, and underlights. “I hate to say it, but I got the cleanest Cybertruck in the country,” O’Neal stated in a video shared on social media.

The customization of the Lucid Air sedan also includes O’Neal’s signature “Superman” logo on black multispoke alloy wheels. Here’s the video shared on Instagram.

In an interview earlier published this month, Lucid’s chief operations officer Marc Winterhoff said the sedan is still “generations ahead.”

“Our first car, the Lucid Air, was generations ahead of its competition and still holds that title today,” Winterhoff stated. “The future of transportation is electric, and Lucid intends to expand its leadership position with groundbreaking technologies,” the executive said earlier in the interview.
