Nio confirmed on Sunday it officially launched in Israel earlier this month through a partnership with Delek Motors, as exclusively reported by EV on November 4. Since mid October, the company has held the launch event in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and announced the expansion to Azerbaijan.
When the company initially expanded to Israel, Nio imported vehicles from Norway. Now, Delek Motors has become its official partner.
On LinkedIn, the Shanghai-headquartered EV maker shared pictures from the opening of its first showroom in the country—known as Nio House—and announced plans to open two more “in the near future.”
“Earlier this month, we celebrated the grand opening of the first Nio House in Israel—a new space for potential users and, of course, for our community. This is a place where you can explore our range of vehicles, consult with our expert team, connect with other users, hold business meetings, and stay updated on the latest Nio technological advancements,” the company wrote on Sunday.

Delek Motors is one of Israel’s largest vehicle distributors and the importer of several brands including Ford and BMW.
In September, the partner, tasked with establishing a dedicated sales team for Nio in the country, began hiring a store manager for the first Nio showroom. Additionally, the first battery swap station is planned to be set up within the next year.
“With over 150 NIO Houses worldwide and more than 300 NIO Spaces, we are thrilled to open our first location in Israel, with two more planned to join in the near future,” Nio added in the post.
The first store is located in Herzliya, a city within the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, and opened its doors this month showcasing five models from the Nio brand.
Nio is introducing a range of vehicles to the Israeli market, including its cheapest sedan, the ET5, and three SUVs: the EL6, EL7, and the three-row SUV EL8.
When annoucing the expansion to the MENA region, the company also unveiled plans to establish local production there, which would become its first manufacturing plant outside China.
By the end of 2025, the company “hopes” to be present in 25 countries, Nio’s co-founder and president Lihong Qin recently said.
