Vietnamese carmaker VinFast announced on Tuesday the start of deliveries for its VF 9, a fully electric seven-seater SUV, in Canada. The model is now available across its Canadian retail network with prices starting at CA $77,321 for the Eco trim (which arrives in 2025) and CA $81,321 for the Plus trim.
The VF 9 features dual-motor all-wheel drive and has an EPA-estimated range of 518 kilometres for the Eco version and 462 kilometres for the Plus variant.
The company has currently 10 showrooms in the country with plans for further expansion.
The carmaker has officially expanded to the Middle East region. VinFast will partner with local dealers in the countries, and the first location has already opened in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with the local partner Al Tayer Motor.
In the third quarter of the year, VinFast announced it delivered 21,912 electric vehicles, up 66% sequentially and 116% from a year ago.
VinFast will release its third quarter financial results on November 26.
