Two separate accidents involving Tesla’s recently launched Cybertruck have occurred in Mexico within 48 hours, with one incident in Guadalajara resulting in four injuries, local authorities said.
Tesla began Cybertruck deliveries in Mexico on September 25, marking the first time the electric pickup has been delivered outside the United States.
In Guadalajara, the crash occurred early Saturday at around 6 a.m. in the Italia Providencia neighborhood.
Firefighters found the vehicle overturned with an 18-year-old woman lying on the pavement, reportedly ejected from the Cybertruck. The woman was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Three other passengers—a 17-year-old girl, a 19-year-old, and a 60-year-old man—were trapped inside the vehicle and required hydraulic tools for extraction. All were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
A separate incident took place on Friday in Mexico City, where a 23-year-old man driving a Cybertruck reportedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with the gate of a residence.
Local authorities said the driver had initially struck a parked truck before the impact with the gate. The driver did not report any serious injuries in this incident, authorities said.

Tesla will begin its first deliveries of the Cybertruck in Canada next week, following the launch of pre-orders in early August. The company priced the Foundation Series Cybertruck at CAD $137,990 for the dual-motor model and CAD $165,990 for the tri-motor “Cyberbeast” edition, according to its website.
